    As a BBQ fanatic, Pig in a Pickle in Corte Madera, CA, exceeded my high standards. The brisket was succulent, and the chili was perfectly chunky.     Seems like all the bad reviews are about the owner of the restaurant being a jerk (he really does sound like a terrible human), and all the good reviews are about the food We didn't see the owner, so we only got the food and maybe we got lucky Food was great, but unsure if we will return after reading one horror story after another on here about the owner

    Dropped in for a late lunch and took a seat at the bar. Lucky for me it was Happy Hour and the bar menu special was a bowl of chili and a draft for $15. The chili was beef brisket chili and it was chock full of chunks of brisket. It was awesome and damn spicy. Whew, the Serrano pepper they put on it will make your toes curl, at least it did for me. But the chili was seriously good. I also had the cornbread. It too was very good. I returned the next day and ordered the chili again but specified to not put any Serrano on it this time. The IPA I ordered to accompany the chili was great as well. For dessert I had Banana pudding. Yum.

    Pig in a Pickle isn't strictly authentic Southern or Texas-style BBQ, but the local-style BBQ they do here is pretty darn good :-) Tip: Local delivery is handled directly by this restaurant, as opposed to one of the big chain delivery services The prices here aren't cheap, but completely worth it given the quality and the portion sizes.
